Live Longer Better in Cumbria Annual Report 2024-25 Published

October 20, 2025
This month sees the publication of our second annual report for the Live Longer Better in Cumbria programme covering the 2024-2025 financial year.
The report provides an overview of the breadth of progress and the impact of activities that have happened under the 4 pillars of the programme which are to Educate, Activate and Enable, and Network.

Anna Larden, Active Cumbria Programme Lead says;
‘‘This report demonstrates how the Live Longer Better in Cumbria programme continues to grow and develop by delivering new innovative projects to our communities and supporting more professionals through CPD offers.
"This year we reached the mid-way point of the programme and marked this with an event in Kendal bringing together over 140 professionals in our network for a day of learning and opportunities to collaborate.
"This simply would not have been possible without the contribution and commitment of all of you supporting the Live Longer Better revolution. Thank you.
"I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Clare Paling who compiled the report prior to leaving her role with Active Cumbria.’’
As we move into the final year of the programme, we will be distributing the remaining Reconditioning Fund to support new projects. Our priority is to focus on areas which have yet to benefit from this resource.
Importantly, we are developing new projects which further upskill health and care professionals, so they have a larger toolkit to support the older adults they work with.
It is vital that everything we do aims to ensure sustainable and long-term change.
