Accessibility

Our new website is designed to be fully accessible to all users, through compliance to the latest web standards W3C.

Active Cumbria is committed to providing its online services to all sections of the public, in line with the current Disability Discrimination Act.

One of our key objectives in designing this site has been to make it easily accessible to as many people as possible in Cumbria. We hope the site is straightforward to navigate using a text-only browser or a speech browser navigation using a keyboard rather than a mouse.

Because we are aiming to make as many of the documents as possible published by Cumberland Council available through this site, we cannot check in detail whether all site contents are fully accessible. Also, we can only be certain that the core site design meets all access needs when we have had feedback from a wide range of users.

We would therefore be especially interested to hear from site users who have special access needs about their experience of using the site.
