Club Welfare Officers invited to festive networking events across Cumbria
November 6, 2026
Active Cumbria is inviting Club Welfare Officers from across the county to join one of three special networking events this December.
Hosted by Sport Welfare Officer Liz, the face-to-face sessions are an opportunity to connect with fellow Club Welfare Officers, share experiences, and celebrate the vital role CWOs play in creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments for everyone taking part in sport and physical activity.
Alongside festive refreshments, attendees will receive updates on key safeguarding topics, including Martyn's Law, DBS developments, and photography and consent guidance.
As a thank you for their ongoing commitment to safeguarding, every Club Welfare Officer attending will receive a free gift pack containing practical items such as a hi-vis jacket, umbrella, travel mug, notepad, and other useful resources.
