Opening Schools Facilities Fund - South Lakes

OSF Funding used for:

St Martin and St Mary C of E Primary School 

The funding was used to develop the swimming pool to be both a curriculum and community resource for teaching swimming, water safety and promoting the benefits of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. It was vital to create a self-funding pool and the installation of an updated energy efficient heating system as well as upgrades to the pool exterior has supported this. A development officer was employed to create and oversee a self-funding programme of curriculum and community swimming activities.

The Lakes School 

The funding was utilised to create a functional fitness hub for students and the community. A range of equipment was provided so the gym is a purposeful place which is useable by all.
