OSF Funding used for:

Copeland

Mayfield School

Purchasing several different adaptive bikes, cycling equipment and additional storage. Funding also utilised for swimming, golf and tennis instructors to deliver sport specific sessions as well as covering additional cleaning supplies to expand the school offer.

 

Millom School

Additional equipment to support the delivery of ‘athletics’ out of school hours to utilise the new track on site. Also invested in crash mats to support the delivery of trampolining and gymnastics sessions. 

 

St. Benedict’s Catholic High School

Supporting student need in creating an enhanced fitness offer out of school hours, both before and after school. Gymnastics delivery is also limited due to current equipment, so the majority of funding utilised to develop delivery to attract a wider audience. 

 

The Whitehaven Academy

Purchasing 9 v 9 goals, pitch marking and football kit as well as gym mats and trolley. All allowing physical activity to happen outside of school hours as well as enhancing the community offer.

 

West Lakes Academy

Investing in additional equipment and kit to support activities that students have requested, such as ultimate frisbee and table tennis along with a specific focus of girl’s rugby.

The Whitehaven Academy

The academy have purchased equipment to support their sports clubs such as trampolining and badminton. By upgrading their futsal capability they will be opening up to community users at weekends from next term. Encouraging their pupils to enjoy outdoor activities with basketball hoops and orienteering and fell running kit.  OSF has also funding catch up swimming to ensure pupils have this essential life skill.

 

West Lakes Academy

OSF is supporting the school to maximise the use of its indoor climbing wall for both the school pupils and local community. This will include climbing qualifications, vital safety equipment and enabling more members of the public to use their facility. 

 

Mayfield School 

The funding secured the purchase of secure storage and a range of adaptive bikes for pupils with severe learning difficulties.  It will allow the delivery of after-school and holiday sessions.

 

St Benedict’s Catholic High School 

The investment has been utilised to buy equipment to develop after school sessions in football and orienteering as well as purchasing an electronic basketball scoreboard.  In year 2, the funding has been used to provide specific equipment for an after school athletics club to allow delivery of a more expansive offer in hurdles and high jump.  Looking ahead funding will support after school cricket and gymnastic sessions.
