We are reforming the original Derwent Park Rangers. We have joined the West Cumbria Primary Youth and Junior League this 2024 season and beyond. We are recruiting new players to the sport of Rugby League. The age groups are 4 to 6 years old, these are our Mini Rangers and from U6's upwards. We are based at The Fibrus Community Stadium, the home of Workington Town RLFC, however, there is no affiliation with Workington Town and ourselves. Training and home games will be at the Fibrus Stadium. Training is every Wednesday at 5:30 pm for the Mini Rangers and U6s and Saturday mornings 10 am for U7s and above. Old and new players are welcome, come down to try this great sport!

Done in the United Reformed Church, in the hall at the back. Sessions only ask for walking, no running involved. A mixture of fun games, rugby related skill sessions and a walking rugby game to finish. Suitable footwear must be worn.

As it says on the tin, social rugby well suited to older people and not necessarily ex-players. It's entirely non-competitive and the hour long sessions (Wednesdays 10am-11am at St Benedicts on the 4G pitch) always end with a brew, cake and natter. Excellent for physical and mental health.

Currently, our sessions are held at Clifton Village Hall, every Monday, 5:30 - 6:30. All our volunteers hold enhanced DBS certificates and Safeguarding Children certificates. Parents/carers and siblings are encouraged to join in the activities. The sessions cost £4 per session, and there is free tea, coffee, biscuits and juice.
