You can apply for any sum from £300 to £10,000 but the total project cost cannot exceed £50,000

8th December 2011

The Sport England Small Grants Programme uses lottery funding to make awards of between £300 and £10,000 to not-for-profit organisations to deliver new community projects to grow or sustain participation in sport.

Current priorities are;

  • Projects increasing the number of adults participating in moderate intensity sports
  • Projects seeking to reduce the drop off rates for 16-19 year olds, in particular the following sports - Badminton, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Gymnastics, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union, and Tennis.

Research shows that large numbers of young people stop playing sport at this age. To see whether your club or organisation in eligible, visit here
