Active Cumbria in partnership with Boccia England and The Lord Taverners would like to invite expression of interests for local organisations in Cumbria to bid to deliver the Lord Taverners under 19s Boccia Programme in Cumbria for 2012/13.
Aims
The Lord Taverners under 19s Programme aims to develop a competitive structure with a player pathway. This structure will offer junior boccia players under the age of 19 with physical disabilities access to County, Regional and National Competitive opportunities.
In addition to this, the programme aims to offer a structure for young people through the sport of boccia officiating pathway from the Boccia Young Officials Course through to County, Regional and National officiating experiences.
Outcomes
One successful organisation will receive £400.00 programme funding to be the county host who will be tasked with the organisation and delivery of:-
1. A Boccia Young Officials Course within the host county. (The course tutor and resources will be provided by the Lord Taverners). This will involve:
2. A County Schools Boccia competition within the home county, for under 19s with a physical disability. (A winners trophy, medals for 1st 2nd and 3rd teams and certificates for all will be supplied as well as tape for court marking by the Lord Tavereners). This will involve:

The successful bidder will be responsible for leading on the planning and delivery the programme itself so please include in your submission details of what you think you can contribute to the successful delivery of this event.
