Carlisle are looking for the next generation of Tennis Leaders

Carlisle City Council Wellbeing Team is looking to hold a Tennis Leaders Award for pupils aged 14-17. You do not need any knowledge or experience of Tennis to do the course. It is the Sports Leader skills we are looking for. This a great opportunity to gain some practical experience working with Children aged 5-10 years old.

The Tennis Leader Award involves 5 hours of practical training looking at issues such as communication and organisation during Mini Tennis sessions.  This is then followed by 6 hours of Practical experience with Carlisle City Council Tennis coaches at Bitts Park Airdome. This may be helping at fun days, assisting a coach at a mini tennis session or assisting with scoring Mini Tennis competitions.

The course will run during half term on Friday 17th February 2012 at Bitts Park Airdome at the following times:
9.30am-12.00pm - Basic communication and organisation
1.00pm-3.30pm - Fun games for children/ assisting a coach.

The course is £15 and you will receive a T-shirt, water-bottle, bag and certificate for attending the course and completing the volunteer hours at Bitts Park.  Please fill in the attached enrolment form and return it to me at the address on the enrolment form with a cheque for £15 made payable to Carlisle City Council.
