Women in Sport Week

June 8, 2017

Women’s Sport Week will this year take place between 19- 25 June

This year sees a host of international women’s sporting events taking place, including the Women’s Cricket and Rugby World Cups (taking place in the UK and Ireland) and the Women’s European Football and Hockey championships, ensuring 2017 is set to be one of the greatest years yet for elite women’s sport.

Women in Sport Week aims to bring everybody who is involved with playing, delivering, leading or working in sport together to celebrate, raise awareness and increase the profile of women’s sport across the UK.

Ideas for getting involved include taking on a sponsored swim, cycle or run as an individual or team, getting sporty and social by organising a tournament match or game fundraiser or wear you PE kit to work/school day.

Women’s Sport Week takes place on 19-25 June and Women in Sport are asking people to use #WSW2017 to share all social media content.
