To support the delivery of our new 5 Year Plan, we are looking for people with a passion to create active communities across Cumbria. These two posts are crucial to us achieving our mission of ‘improving lives through physical activity’ and our vision of ‘everyone in Cumbria is enjoying an active lifestyle’.

 Marketing & Communications Officer

Salary: £31,346 – £32,234

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: TBC (currently home based, usually located in Cumbria House, Carlisle)

Special Details: Permanent

 Are you a creative and enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail? Are you committed to supporting communities to improve their health and wellbeing through increased levels of physical activity? If so, then we would like to hear from you.

 We are looking for an excellent team player, who will work with a wide range of stakeholders to reduce levels of inactivity in targeted communities in Cumbria through the provision of high-quality marketing and communications services. You will have a wealth of experience in facilitating successful campaigns and promotional activities and be able to apply these to the successful delivery of physical activity and community development activities.

 Excellent communication skills, along with high level organizational, and relationship skills will be required, as will a positive and flexible attitude.

Project Officer (School Games & Children & Young People)

Salary: £27,741 – £28,672

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: TBC (currently home based, usually located in Cumbria House, Carlisle)

 Are you a solution focused individual, who is committed to increasing opportunities for children and young people from all backgrounds to enjoy and benefit from regular physical activity and sports opportunities?

 We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team to create meaningful opportunities for children to be active. You will be a highly organized individual with excellent communication and project management skills, who is able to engage and influence a range of key partners to achieve our vision.

 A strong team player, with excellent ICT skills, you will work across all our children and young people services and programmes.
