Walk to School Week 2022
May 16, 2022
New Wellbeing Walkabout resources to support Walk to School Week 16th – 20th May 2022
The Active Travel Team are delighted that over 40 schools from across the county have requested resources, to be distributed to almost 6000 children!
The activity sheet is a simple, folded leaflet and has been designed around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing with a focus on getting children to think about how they feel on their active journeys. There are activities to encourage them to engage with their surroundings, and some suggestions to help make their experiences more fulfilling. The activities are not specific to Walk to School Week and can be used any time.

- Guidance and resources to establish a park & stride scheme
- Guidance and resources to establish a walking bus
- Support to create a school travel plan via the Modeshift STARS scheme
- Bikeability cycle training
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to find out more.
