Schools across Cumbria are being invited to be part of U.DANCE Cumbria 2020.  Organised with the support of Active Cumbria, U.DANCE Cumbria supports all of Cumbria’s schools to create high quality creative dance within the curriculum and to celebrate this achievement through performance.  Now in its 19th year U.DANCE Cumbria is a much-loved event and a firm annual fixture on many school calendars. 

Performances will take place in Keswick, Carlisle and Workington during March 2020, with partners in Kendal & Barrow also organising similar showcase events.

U.DANCE is particularly keen to involve schools who have never previously participated together with more secondary schools. Lynn Barnes, Dance Cumbria Co-ordinator said:

“U.Dance Cumbria is such an inspiring, life-affirming and feel-good event.  Over the years it has been immensely rewarding to see how U.Dance Cumbria has been the catalyst for so many young people’s life-long interest in dance, from hobby to career”.

The deadline for schools to apply for U.DANCE Cumbria 2020 is Friday 11th October.
