There really is something for everyone at this year’s Cumbria Sports Awards, from Cumbria’s Sport Personality of the Year to the Community Club or Group of the Year, the awards honour the fantastic achievements of those who are making an impact in the County.
Do you know a junior or senior team that have had a fantastic 2019, or someone with a disability who has really excelled? Or is there a young volunteer in your club or organisation that is really making a difference? If the answer is yes, then get nominating now!
Whether an individual, volunteer, club, school or coach, a talented athlete who has achieved great things, or someone who, through sport and physical activity has changed their lifestyle for the better, we need to know!
The nomination period will end at midnight on Monday 21st October 2019. Make sure you don’t miss the deadline!

It is not only the headline-grabbing professional stars we are looking to honour. It could be your school or child's teacher who coaches after school and works tirelessly to train a team for the next sports championships, a dedicated local team or it could be a coach at your sports club who has spent hours voluntary coaching, and you feel it is time they got the recognition they deserve.

This year’s event, supported by United Utilities promises to be a marvellous celebration of sport and physical activity in Cumbria, with our sporting heroes the glittering stars. We have so many reasons to be proud of our sporting community and look forward to recognising their achievements on the night.
The annual awards presentation dinner will be held on 29th November 2019 at the stunning Low Wood Hotel, Windermere in the heart of Cumbria. The evening will be hosted by BBC Radio Cumbria’s Mike Zeller. The evening will close with a talk show style discussion with a panel of Cumbrian speakers, including M-Sport Founder Malcolm Wilson and former professional cricketer now Head Coach, Paul Nixon.
