Looking for fun activities to do this Summer holidays?
Then look no further than Cumbria's Holiday Activity and Food Programme! On the Cumbria County Council’s website, you can search a wide range of activities running during the school Summer holidays to find something right for your child.
All the activities are free for children who receive benefits-related Free School meals and other eligible children in particular circumstances, and they will also receive a lunchtime meal. In addition to this, some of the activities are open to all children, however there may be a cost. Please check the details of each activity to check the conditions.
Remember! Ensuring your child is physically active during the school holidays provides a range of physical, mental, and social benefits towards their overall wellbeing.

Allerdale
Fun Swimming Sessions- Wigton Baths
Wigton Baths are inviting children aged 4-16 to attend their ‘Fun Swimming Sessions’ in July and August.

Barrow
Cumbria Cricket Ltd (Barrow Cricket Club)- Barrow-in-Furness
The Cumbria Cricket Ltd are offering a whole range of activities in July, August and September from 10am-2pm for those aged 5-11. These activities include cricket, football, and multi-skills.

Non-Contact Boxing Sessions- Carlisle
Carlisle Villa Boxing Club are offering Non-Contact Boxing Sessions for those aged 5-16 in August. The times they will be running are from 10.30am-1.20pm.

Ulverston Canoe Club are offering canoeing and kayaking sessions in August for those aged 12-18. This includes games on the lake shore.

Football Fun Factory (Main Camp & Mini Camp for Autistic children and their families)- Whitehaven
Football Fun Factory are running football camps for those aged 4-16 in July and August from 9am-3.30pm. Alongside their main camp, they will be offering mini camp experiences for children with Autism & their families.

54 Degrees Sport- Penrith
54 Degrees Sport Holiday Camps are delivering sessions that offer a varied range of activities, ranging from team games, individual sports, and extra-curricular activities. These will take place in July and August for those aged 5-13.
