Duke of Edinburgh Awards 60th anniversary celebrations at Hawse End Centre on the 10th September 2016
This year is the 60th Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and many events are taking place across the country. As part of the celebrations Cumbria Outdoors are holding a Celebration Day to commemorate this very special occasion. Cumbria Outdoors are the Licence Holders for Cumbria County Council and many schools in the county run the Award using their services. Currently there are over 3000 young people county wide participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award under Cumbria County Councils Licence in 35 centres including Secondary Schools, Academies, Independent Schools, Special Schools and PRUs.
Cumbria Outdoors would like to invite you to be a part of this very special day.
They will be inviting selected representatives from Schools and Centres running the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award both in and out of county and also young people currently participating in the Award as well as past recipients, to thank them all for their time and dedication to the Award and are planning a celebration to this effect.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for your organisation to network with DofE Leaders and young people and showcase what your organisation has to offer for the different sections of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. There will be a limited number of stands available, and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The cost is only £30 and a contribution from this will be donated to the DofE 60th Diamond Challenge fundraiser
Cumbria Outdoors are raising money for the DofE 60th Diamond Challenge fundraiser – for more information see the link https://dofediamondchallenge.org/

Lunch and refreshments will be included in your fee.If you are interested in attending please contact email@example.com by Monday 2nd May 2016 at the latest.
