The Bowls Development Alliance launched the first nationwide survey regarding disabled participation in bowls to develop a greater understanding of the current and future opportunities that exist for disabled bowlers and which clubs currently have disabled bowlers using their facilities. The 2014 survey saw 243 clubs respond which resulting in valuable insight that proved crucial when developing the National Disability Strategic Action Plan as well as in guiding clubs and organisations to create more opportunities for disabled bowlers to take part in our sport.
Due to the success of the 2014 Survey, the BDA announced on the 2nd August the launch of the 2015 National Disability Survey which is now open for responses via hard copy from www.playbowls.org or electronically via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NationalDisabilitySurvey2015 until Friday, 27thNovember, 2015.
Those taking part in the survey have an opportunity to enter a prize draw where the winner will receive a blue Ultraglide DX Bowls Bag, courtesy of AeroBowls
