Rider Development Sessions for Women and Girls

June 19, 2015

British Cycling’s development programme, Go-Ride, is now providing Rider Development Sessions for Women & Girls, to help riders to build confidence & learn new cycling techniques in a relaxed and informal setting.

If you are a womens/girls group and would like to have a free session at your club/ local area, please get in touch with Tom Levers, Go-Ride Coach, North-West on 07534 281261

There would be no session charge, bikes & helmets can be provided. The sessions can take place anywhere that is traffic free.

The sessions give women and girls the opportunity to:

  • Ride with friends and others of similar ability
  • Develop bike handling techniques
  • Learn about group riding techniques and etiquette
  • Develop cycling fitness

Feedback has been extremely positive so far:

“The whole session was thoroughly enjoyable. I found the coach to be very professional, but she also had a lovely sense of humour that made us relax and have fun.”

“It was great to meet like-minded ladies. We all want similar things - to get fit, ride safely and complete various challenges. I mostly ride with men, so it is lovely to get some expert coaching, which I have already put into practice!”
