The UK Dodgeball Association in partnership with Active Cumbria provided training for 22 college students and staff at Newton Rigg College on Wednesday 9th December.
Despite the devastating recent floods affecting the area it was fantastic to see the commitment made by students and staff to develop a new sport in the county.
Thanks to partnership funding from Active Cumbria and Sport England each college present will have up to 5 qualified level 2 dodgeball coaches ready to set up new activity in the New Year.
College students and staff have been encouraged to set up lunchtime and evening clubs at their colleges and a county league will operate throughout the year also.
The UK Dodgeball Association would like to thank all the colleges listed below for their commitment at what is a very hard time for all concerned in the county. We would also like to wish well anyone affected by the floods.
