This Spring saw 2 Bowls Level 1 Courses happen at Penrith Leisure Centre through Active Cumbria’s Bowls Hot Spot Project.
The courses run in conjunction with the Bowls Development Alliance were attended by 23 delegates from local Cumbrian Clubs who have gone on to deliver Play Bowls Sessions. This great new influx of coaches into the Bowls Infrastructure will allow a greater number of beginner sessions to be offered by local clubs and hopefully help them attract new members and players into the game.
Like many sports, Bowls relies on its volunteers to keep clubs and coaching sessions running, these new coaches will help shoulder the responsibility and enable the clubs to thrive this summer and many more seasons to come.
