Wheelchair Basketball

Open to all ages and abilities, wheelchair basketball is a team sport that follows the same principles as basketball using a sports wheelchair.

There are fun, recreational sessions provided by community clubs, right the way through to competitive leagues and competitions.

Why is it good for me?

Wheelchair basketball can help to improve upper body strength, and, because it’s a team sport, it’s a great way to meet new people.

How much does it cost?

Costs vary, but individual sessions may cost around £5.

What equipment do I need?

Clothes you feel comfortable getting hot and sweaty in, and a wheelchair. Some clubs will provide a sports wheelchair for you to use. Check with your local club before you go along.
