Bowls
Bowls truly is the sport for all - all ages, all sexes and all abilities.
It is a game that takes just seconds to learn - and the rest of your bowling career to master.
Indoors and outdoors – the aim of the game is simple. Get your bowls as close as possible to a small white ball called the ‘jack’.
It might sound easy, but the fact that the bowls do not travel in a straight line seriously adds to the tactical challenge.
Why is it good for me?
Bowls is a social game you can enjoy at any age, and with no experience – all clubs will encourage anyone wanting to learn or develop their skills.
You can also can play all year round – indoor bowls in the winter and out on the greens in the summer.
How much does it cost?
The cost varies between clubs but you can go and play a social game of bowls from £2.50 an hour!
What equipment do you need?
