In the next few weeks female coaching will receive a massive boost when The FA qualifies its 20,000th female Level One coach.
Level One courses are administered up and down the country with some County FAs even holding female-only courses which has helped to increase female participation in the game.
In total 189,000 coaches now hold the Level One Certificate in Coaching Football, of which 19,805 are female. Every month roughly 200 females embark on their maiden coaching voyage, meaning the 20,000 barrier will soon be broken which will be a magnificent milestone for everyone involved in women's football.
"It is fantastic to see so many females getting themselves on the coaching ladder," said Rachel Pavlou, The FA's National Women's Football Development Manager.
