Empowering Community Sport Conference
20th January 2010
The Empowering Community Sport Conference is aimed at those working across the sector in sport, physical activity, culture and community engagement who recognise the value of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and wish to harness that power to enhance their work.
With representatives from StreetGames (the National community sports engagement charity), North West Regional Development Agency, English Federation of Disability Sport, Manchester Leisure, Government Office for the North West and Olympic athletes, the conference promises to be a unique opportunity to hear the opinions of some of the Regions’ lead agencies about progress to date and plans to maximise the opportunities in the North West presented by the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. The conference will be a series of short interactive workshops allowing you to hear the opinions of strategic leads and also get the chance to have your say.
The Empowering Community Sport Conference is aimed at community and voluntary organisations, sports development workers, National Governing Bodies of Sport, National and regional sports organisations and partners from the health & physical activity sector.
The conference costs just £125 per person.
As well as attending as a delegate there is also a StreetGames market stall area for organisations wishing to book a display space to promote their organisation and its activities, a booking form and information is also attached for the market stall area. The market stall area is the location for all of the delegate refreshment breaks and lunch break.
