Do you live and breathe sport? Do you want to be the next Colin Jackson, Gabby Logan or Manish Bhasin?
Ever thought that you could actually turn your hobby into a career?
Yes? An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside our sports teams in BBC Local Radio stations and our BBC websites across this summer. If you would love to have the opportunity to share your thoughts, experiences and sports knowledge with our audiences, then Blast is for you!
You'll have the opportunity to record and write your own reports (don't worry, we will help you!), see how radio programmes and web pages are put together as well as gaining great experience to put on your CV.
You will need a proven interest in general sport and in particular the upcoming Olympic Games. You'll already be involved in sports in your school/college or community, have the drive to succeed in your chosen sport and the creativity to turn your ideas into content for radio and the web.
So if you've got some spare time this summer and fancy adding 'BBC Blast Sports Reporter' to your list of achievements, then complete an application. You don't need to be a budding journalist; you just need passion for sport and want to share it!
Due to Health & Safety considerations you will have to be aged 18 or over to apply for this placement. We welcome applicants form all age groups, however this particular programme has been specifically designed for applicants from 18-24 age range in order to meet the learning requirements of that group.
