11th August 2010
A fantastic Professional Development opportunity for people interested in learning more about teaching breakdancing.
The opportunity has arisen as part of BBC Blast coming to Whitehaven (see flyer below) and will feature Gisele Partridge, a professional breakdancer who has worked with the BBC previously, and will be a chance to learn the basics of teaching breakdancing with a view for you to go on and teach sessions in the future as part of Copeland Borough Council's Arts Development programme.
The session will take place on Monday 16th August and will be broken down into two sections; 11 - 12.30 and 2 - 3.30. Then on Thursday, as part of the BBC Blast event itself you will get the chance to work alongside Gisele teaching a breakdancing session for young people. This will be a great chance to gain practical experience and more guidance from Gisele.
This is a fantastic opportunity not only for professional development, but also to take part in a nationally renowned event run by the BBC and to work alongside a highly regarded Breakdancer.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in then please contact Eleanor Guthrie, Arts Development Assistant, Copeland Borough Council as soon as possible as places are VERY limited.
If you know of anyone else that you think would like to take advantage of this opportunity then please forward this on to them.
