As in basketball the game is played on a hard court with scoring rings at both ends, where players score by netting the netball. There are seven players on each team. All have named positions on the court such as wing defence or centre. The netball hoops are smaller and lower than those used in basketball and there are no backboards. The netball court is divided into thirds which regulate where players in each team can move, and two semi-circular shooting shots must be taken.
Back To Netball is all about rediscovering the sport for those who may not have played for a while or indeed since school. Also the sessions are also an excellent opportunity for those who may never have played and are looking to be involved.
We would love to see you again at the sessions and if you know of anyone else that may like to come along then please feel free to spread the word and bring them too.
The Sands Centre - Thursdays 7.30-8.30pm, £2 per session
Egremont RFU - Thursdays 6-7pm (FREE 14-25 year olds)
