Runningsport New 2010

If you're involved in running a sports team, club or organisation, runningsports
can save you time.

From quick online tips, to fun and informative workshops, runningsports will help you get more for yourself, your club and its members.

Active Cumbria provides a range of services for support the development of local sports clubs.

Clubmark is the Sport England cross sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections.  Active Cumbria supports National Governing Bodies (NGBs) to accredit clubs that comply with minimum operating standards in four areas

  • The playing or participation programme                                     
  • Duty of care and child protection
  • Sports equity and ethics
  • Club management

Clubmark demonstrates to partners, parents and young people that Clubmark accredited clubs are:

  • Active - getting the best out of young people
  • Accessible - Giving everyone a sporting chance
  • Accredited - the sport England mark of high quality

Club Leaders programme now launched!

From today 10,000 community sports clubs have the chance to develop better business skills thanks to Sport England's innovative new programme, Club Leaders (part of their Places, People, Play legacy plan).

Providing free training and support to those doing the day-to-day running of community sport, Club Leaders will help create a robust, economically sustainable and enterprising club network.
