The Tyne Tour Festival is a family friendly event held over the first full weekend of November to celebrate the start of the paddling season in Northumberland. Events are planned to welcome those interested in trying the sport for the very first time and those more experienced paddlers and racers. River based activities are planned to take advantage of various grades of water running through the Tyne Valleys stunning natural beauty.
Tyne Green waterside park is the hub of activities and this year as well as the usual camping, trade and refreshment stands, we will be holding a disco and ceildhi on site; entrance to which is included in the ‘festival’ and ‘combined’ passes.
The ‘paddle’ and ‘combined’ passes guarantees a hot meal to those in need after a days paddling or those just watching events unfold from the bank side.
