Swim Safe is coming to Lake Windermere

Swim Safe 2014 - take part, have fun, stay safe

Swim Safe the interactive water Safety Programme is coming to Lake Windermere between the 18th and the 24th August this year, offering children between the ages of 7 and 14 free lessons in water safety and swimming survival skills.

Swim Safe is run by the ASA and the RNLI in partnership with the National Trust and the RLSS and aims to teach children the essential differences between swimming in a pool and swimming in open water.

  • Fell Foot Park - Monday 18th August – Friday 22nd August 12noon, 12.45pm. 1.30pm, 2.15pm, 3.00pm, 3.45pm
  • Low Wray Campsite – Saturday 23rd August and Sunday 24th August 12noon, 12.45pm. 1.30pm, 2.15pm, 3.00pm, 3.45pm

Volunteers Required

In order to deliver this free programme they are looking for volunteers to help with bookings, and the day to day running of the programme.  They are also looking for volunteers to help with the day to day running of Swim Safe such as bookings, promotion and co-ordinating lessons.
