Are you a high level sports performer based in Cumbria? Are you looking for additional funding to help meet the ever increasing costs of training and competing? If so the Cumbria Talented Athlete Fund may be able to help you. The Cumbria Talented Athlete Performance Fund is now open to take applications and closes on the 31st January 2013.
Cumbria Talented Athlete Fund was launched in 2009 as part of the London 2012 Legacy to support Cumbria's most talented athletes. In 2013 the fund is being supported by Cumbria County Council and Active Cumbria, the Sport and Physical Activity Partnership.
The Performance Fund is for athletes already competing at international level or as part of a World Class programme.
Richard Johnston, Senior Manager (Operations) at Active Cumbria said, “I’m delighted to be able to offer Cumbria Talented Athlete Fund grants for a fourth year. The funding provided by Cumbria County Council and Active Cumbria will really make a difference to the elite sports performers we have in Cumbria. It will hopefully help them take the next step in their sporting careers and catapult them to even greater things”.
