Snowsport England’s ‘30 Days of Snowsport’ is set to tour the country’s indoor and artificial slopes for the second year running this autumn, aiming to get people excited about snowsports and giving people an insight into the world of snowsports here in the UK.
Running from 26 September until 25 October, 30 Days of Snowsport will celebrate the start of the winter season and promises to offer something for everyone by delivering 30 days of snowsports activities both at slopes in England and online via competitions.
The events running at indoor centres and artificial slopes across the country will include open days, fun days of snow activities and entertainment, days featuring GB skiers and snowboarders, elite level competitions and freestyle nights.
At many 30 Days of Snowsport events, there will be the chance for people who have never tried skiing or snowboarding before to give it a go with a GO SKI GO BOARD ‘TRY’ taster session. For those who already ski or snowboard, there will be a chance to get the ski legs back or have a go at something different – whether that be having a go at freestyle, ski racing or being simply being inspired by top level athletes.
Away from the slopes, follow @SnowsportEng on Twitter and ‘like’ Snowsport England on Facebook to engage with the 30 Days of Snowsport buzz and take part in the competitions to win a whole host of skiing and snowboarding goodies. C
Tim Fawke, Chief Executive of Snowsport England said: “30 Days of Snowsport created a great buzz at centres and slopes across the country last autumn, and really got us ready for the winter! We had over 1600 people taking TRY taster sessions at our 30 Days events last year, and we hope to beat that record again in year two.”
