Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner Richard Rhodes has launched a Commissioner’s Community Fund.
The fund is available to neighbourhood or community groups whose activities or projects support the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan.
Charities, voluntary groups and community groups are invited to apply for up to £10,000 to help fund projects that engage in initiatives and interventions to reduce crime and tackle anti-social behaviour.
Police and Crime Commissioner Richard Rhodes said: “The Community Fund is an excellent opportunity for community groups, charities and voluntary groups to come forward to receive funding for the work that they are doing which supports my Police and Crime Plan. “The Police and Crime Plan sets out the strategic priorities for policing in the County and has been influenced by what members of the public have told me as areas where they want the police to focus.
“I have set aside £100,000 a year over the next four years as I am firmly committed to local communities being the right place to provide solutions to local issues.”
