Keswick School Satellite Rowing Club Success

November 11, 2015

Keswick School completed the last of the Autumn Term ‘Learn to Row’ courses this week.

All rowers have done incredibly well. This week’s heavy rain even culminated in a race between the girls and boys crews. The girls won on style and the boys won on brawn!

All the students were presented with Level 2 Certificates prepared by the coaches.

This has been a great project for Lakeland Rowing Club, they have seen the Juniors develop from complete novices in a stable quad to now get up to a good race pace rowing very competently in a lightweight fine quad.

Of the 24 Junior learn to rowers, 13 have joined Lakeland Rowing Club as Junior Members and are entering for their first head race at York City RC on November 22nd.

They have also joined as British Rowing Gold Members.

Happy Rowing!
