Inspire your local community to get on a bike

October 1, 2013

British Cycling is on the hunt for new Ride Leaders to help inspire more people in Carlisle to get on their bikes and start cycling for fun.

If you love cycling recreationally and want to support others to get riding, you can become a British Cycling Ride Leader and lead group bike rides in Carlisle.

British Cycling welcomes all kinds of cyclists – as long as you have heaps of enthusiasm and you’re happy to support beginner bike riders and families. There’s no need to be a cycling expert or competitive racer, just be confident riding in a group and have a good level of fitness.

Paul Kayes, British Cycling Ride Leader said ‘I really enjoyed the training course, the delivery and content was second to none. The other people on the course were friendly and supportive. I love leading regular bike rides for the community, it is great fun and I’ve made lots of new friends along the way.’

The free, assessed one-day course qualifies you to deliver guided bike rides for groups of beginner and intermediate level adults and accompanied children on roads and cycle paths. The next free Ride Leader training course in Carlisle:
