Girls Player Development Centre Trials

14th November 2011

Girls in Cumberland took part in the first Player Development Centre trials on Monday 7 November at Newton Rigg. Almost 70 girls attended the evening in Penrith testing their skills against other players and enjoying the challenge.

Following The FA's restructure on talent development, girls in Cumbria now have the opportunity to access additional coaching sessions alongside their club football. Girls selected for the Centre, will continue to play and train with their grassroots club while receiving 15 weeks of coaching from UEFA B and Level 2 coaches (with FA Module 1 and 2). Girls will also have the opportunity to play in festival football against Player Development Centres from the North of England during school holidays.

The Centre, for girls in Cumberland will provide players at U11, U13 and U15 with additional development.

Any players wishing to attend the second trial on Monday 14 November should contact Helen Aitchison, Cumberland FA on 01900 872310.
