Getting it right on the day - The LONG road to Olympic success

April 26, 2012

To help celebrate Universities Week 2012, the University of Cumbria are holding a free lecture by Professor Dave Collins, the former Performance Director of UK Athletics. The lecture will take place on Thursday 3 May, 7.00pm (for 7.30pm start) in the Hugh Pollard lecture theatre at our Lancaster campus.

Following his success as a performance director, Dave's presentation will provide a unique and fascinating insight into the detailed preparation, training, support and planning required to develop an Olympic athlete. This is an opportunity to explore the world of the modern Olympian through the eyes of someone who was close to the action in Beijing.
