On Wednesday 20th May at 12noon, businesses across the country are being invited to walk, jog, cycle or run one mile for the first national Workplace Challenge Midday Mile.
Not only will the Midday Mile be an opportunity for you and your colleagues to get a taste of fresh air, a chance to stretch your legs, and communicate with each other, but it is also supporting a great cause – helping to raise funds for vital lifesaving research for the Workplace Health Week official charity partner, the British Heart Foundation.
There will be two main ways that the Midday Mile events will be raising funds for the British Heart Foundation:
1. Charity collections will be taking place at the main Midday Mile events, simply donate what you can. Every penny counts!
2. Forgotten your cash? Don't worry because at anytime day or night you can text MILE to 70123 to donate £3 to the BHF.
Active Cumbria Development Officer Richard Metcalf will be leading a Midday Mile from Blancathra House in Whitehaven, everyone is welcome to join him!
This will be just be one loop of the harbour and back to Blancathra House. Join Richard and get some fresh air!!! Take time out of the office!!! If you really want to work, have a Walking Meeting!!!!
