Grassroots football clubs are set to receive a helping hand from the countries largest sports charity.
The Football Foundation today announced that 2.1m of funding from The FA is to be made available to help the development of grassroots clubs.
Clubs will be able to access grants of up to 5,000 through the Foundations 'Grow The Game' scheme.
The funding increases participation in the national game by helping clubs to provide opportunities for new players, or training volunteers to support new players and teams.
The Foundation today announced that the new application window for Grow the Game applications will open on Monday 5 November and close on Friday 21 December. The Foundation is advising clubs that are interested in applying for this funding to visit here and contact their local County FA to find out more.
