Falcons A team playing one of their A League Games in the County

October 3, 2013

Cumbria Rugby Union are continuing to develop their relationship with the Newcastle Falcons following a series of Coach Development Events with 1st Team Coaching Staff in 2012/13.

After securing a Development Officer for the Premiership Club based in the county Liam Nicholls of Cumbria RFU said:

"It is a pleasure to see the Falcons A team playing one of their A League Games in the County. The Falcons Development Team took on a Cumbria Senior XV last year which gave the Cumbrians a great workout en route to their County Championship Final against Surrey which they unfortunately lost 21-16. All this activity is contributing to increasing the brand image of the Falcons within Cumbria whilst supporting the work of the local development team."

The game against Worcester should see the return to Cumbria of England Counties and ex Carlisle player Chris Harris who has experienced some accelerated development over the past few years with his affiliation to the North East Club, following an excellent grounding at his home club of Carlisle.

This watch this great game come along to Carlisle Rugby Union Club on 28th October 2013 for kick off at 7pm adults admission £4 with a free admission for children.
