Eden Key Steps Gymnastics - Penrith & Appleby Cluster

The Eden Valley Sports Partnership saw 125 children put their Gymnastic skills to the test Penrith Leisure Centre on Thursday 28th February 2013.  The competition was organised and run by Eden Valley Sports Partnership supported byUllswaterCommunity Collegeteacher Oli Burns and Young Sports Leaders also fromUllswaterCommunity College, andQueenElizabethGrammar School. Gymnastic staff supplied by Penrith Leisure Centre were also involved in the smooth running of the event.

Using the fantastic new gymnastic equipment at Penrith Leisure Centre, which was provided by Eden District Council, 19 teams from 10 Primary Schools demonstrated their skills in floor, body management and vault routines. The Schools taking part were: Skelton, Plumpton,NorthLakes, Lazonby, Lowther, Langwathby,Brunswick, Stainton, Yanwath &  Kirkoswald

Thursday 7th March will see the Key Steps Gymnastics Final take place at Appleby Grammar School where winners and runners up from Penrith and Appleby Cluster Schools will battle it out with the winners from Kirkby Stephen Cluster Schools, who qualified on Thursday 21st February.
