Kendal School Girl Steph Driscoll last week won gold at the Yorkshire Athletic Association Open Pentathlon.
Steph was awarded a Cumbrian Talented Athlete Fund grant at the start of the year.
“2015 has been my first season of competing in the U15 age group. I’ve won the Hertfordshire and Yorkshire Open Pentathlons, finished eighth at 800m in the English Schools National Championships and was selected to represent the North West at the London Mini-Marathon. My favourite competition is Combined Events, which means lots of travel and different types of spikes for each event, so the grant from the Cumbria Talented Athlete Fund has been very useful. Thank you so much!” - Steph
