Terms and Conditions

  • Entries must be completed on the template provided in the Touch the Tour Schools Pack and posted to Active Cumbria, Cumbria County Council, The Courts, Carlisle CA6 4SJ.
  • Entries will be accepted on paper or scanned and emailed to
  • All entries must be submitted and received by 5pm on Friday 15th July 2016.
  • Open to all Cumbria residents aged between 7 and 16. Only one entry per person.
  • The winner’s design will be made into a Cumbria, Lake District Stage Tour of Britain cycling jersey to be awarded to the Cumbria Stage winner.
  • The winner will also recieve a copy of the produced stage jersey.
  • The winners will be selected based on artistic merit by a panel of judges to consist representatives from Cumbria, Lake District Stage partners.
  • The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered in to. Entries can not be returned.
  • The name of the winner and the prize won will be made available on this site w/c 5th Sept.
  • No responsibility is accepted for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed or damaged in the post.
  • Entries that are not submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions and/or that are delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or otherwise defective will be disqualified. All entry instructions should be considered to form part of the competition rules.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • There is no cash alternative.
  • The Promoter reserves its right to substitute any prize with a prize of equivalent value in the event of circumstances outside of its control.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend, foreclose or withdraw the promotion and/or the terms and conditions of entry at any time and without prior notice.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant it believes not to be participating within the spirit of the promotion or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour. The Promoter reserves the right to use its discretion in all respects and to enforce any penalty or sanction it deems appropriate.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to feature the name, photograph and location of the finalists and their guests in any future marketing materials, local press, website publications, promotions and/or prize draws. The parents / guardians / school of the finalists will be required to provide consent, granting permission for the Promoter to use photographs of the finalists in any future marketing materials.Such permission will be sought when the two finalists are notified of their win. 
  • The promoter reserves the right to feature any entry submitted in marketing materials to include (but not limited to) PR, social media and website.
  • No purchase is necessary.
  • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed or rendered invalid due to incorrect participant data, lack of network coverage, system, software or hardware failure or for any other reason beyond its control.
  • Entry data will be held by Active Cumbria for the purpose of administering the prize draw and contacting the winner. If at any time you wish to withdraw from the Competition your request should be made in writing to the Promoter.
  • If there is a conflict in the terms and conditions of this competition with any other terms whatsoever attached to any other promotional material in respect of this contest, these conditions will apply.
