Getting Cumbria Ready....

Next Step: Families Fund Scoping Workshop. Thursday 29th June 10.30am – 12.30pm at Penrith Rugby Club  Book Now>>

On the 4th November 2016 we had over 100 delegates from across Cumbria join us in Getting Cumbria Ready, The day focused on the Government’s policy direction on tackling physical inactivity. We learnt about future investment from Sport England and more about the important role that behaviour change, and customer centricity will play moving forward.

Since then we have been running scoping workshops for the different funding streams as they become available.  These have seen a wide range of partners come together to discuss ideas and look at the potential to work collaboratively

Presentations were made at the Getting Cumbria Ready conference from the following speakers:

  • Hannah Bladen - Hannah is Strategic Lead for Local Delivery at Sport England and outlined the new Strategy from Sport England 'Towards an Active Nation 2016 -2021'
