Active Cumbria have adopted an Equality and Diversity Policy 2013 - 2016 which demonstrates the partnerships committment to the principles and practices of equality. the policy is intended to ensure that the partnership is complaint with the the general Equality Duty, resulting in better informed decision making and policy development, and better policy outcomes, essentially leading to services that are more appropriate to our users, and services that are more effective and cost effective.
Active Cumbria have carried out an Annual Equality and Diversity Review for 2012 - 2013, an exercise which enables the partnership to monitor it's progress in relation to equality and diversity, ensuring we meet the legal requirements of the Equality Act 2010 and supports us identifying future equality obejectives to ensure we continue to improve our services.
