Mayfield's Winning Entry

"Students and staff from Mayfield were delighted to welcome Manderville to the school. It was a wonderful opportunity to share achievements from our school sports day with a celebrity guest.

He presented individual and team trophys and spent time meeting all the students. It brings our countdown to the 2012 Olympics to life, the students will always remember the special visitor."

As Mayfield is the Hub school for Copeland School Sports Partnership this allows us to have a massive impact upon all children in Copeland. We strive daily in our work in school and the community to communicate the Olympic and Paralympic values to the children all school sports, festivals and competitions.

We inspire children with a sense of respect and friendship whilst motivated to do their best, challenge themselves and inspire others through their efforts. We see equality and inclusion as key to allowing children to realise their potential and push barriers and achieve their best.
