We are passionate about coaching and leadership and want to help you to be the best you can. Investing in you, is investment in the wider community. Coaching isn't just about sport, we are looking for a wide range of coaches to deliver a wide range of physical activities, especially those suited to beginners and those who are currently inactive, including walking.
This bursary is available for people from under-respresented groups to get into Coaching

The funding is available for people living and volunteering in Cumbria, we urge people from those target groups to come forward.
We can help fund up to 50% of training costs, and can help you source other opportunities to fund the additional funds required.
You don't necessarily have to undertake a formal course or qualification, we are looking at new innovative ways to develop you and your skills, so ideas are welcome.

Before you get in touch, you need to have an idea of what you want to do. You do not necessarily have to have already sourced training or know how you are going to get to where you want to be. This is something we can help with.
Prior to an application, we would like to have an initial discussion, we can help with forumlating ideas and have a wide range of contacts. Advice, guidance and support will be available throughout and beyond the application process.
Following successful completition ongoing support is provided, this could be support with marketing, delivering campaigns, developing a club etc. We are here to support you.
